Enrapture Encode Totem Styler

If you follow me on twitter, you may have seen me frantically tweeting in excitement about a certain hair styler last week; the now famous Encode Totem Styler from Enrapture went on HALF PRICE at Boots. I've wanted one of these babies for months, MONTHS I tell you! But the £75 price tag was ever so slightly off-putting. Better still, last week was the annual Double Discount days for Boots employees (most anticipated time of the year) so I got a further 25% off, AND I had a giftcard. All in all I paid just £22, and at that price it doesn't even matter if I don't like it.

Luckily I do like it, very much so! I'm sure this particular product has done the rounds on the blogs enough times by now for you all to know the general jist, but just incase you've been living under a rock: this totem styler has three heat zones which you can set from 1-3 and each different combination creates a different style from bohemian curls, soft waves or tight ringlets. And there I was thinking there was just curly or straight hair! My hair is straight. Like, straightstraightstraight. So I set mine to a very adventurous 3-3-3 for maximum curlage.

I really liked the result (even if this picture does make me look like I only have one eyebrow - I have two, promise), but it fell out within a couple of hours so I'm definitely going to have to invest in some curling products - any recommendations? Have you purchased an Enrapture totem styler yet? What's your favourite combination? x

Crystal Sun

Cardigan - Topshop | Blouse - Primark | Disco Pants - AA | Shoes - eBay | Necklace - eBay

Have I really not posted for over a week? I've been super busy so it's completely zoomed past. Last weekend my boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary which was so nice, next year is a bit of a milestone (5 years!) so I'm expecting something along the lines of dinner on a rooftop over looking the Eiffel Tower ;). I headed to Canterbury on Wednesday for my bestfriend's 21st birthday (love her!) which was eventful to say the least! It was so much fun though, despite the 3 hour train journey home with a hangover. Then yesterday I worked for Hairdressers Journal at Salon International (this is the outfit I wore). I worked there once before, but this time it was super, super busy! I was just doing some Street Style like I did at London Fashion Week, but it's a bit more of a challenge at Salon as everyone is less flamboyant and less...attention seeking. It was really fun though and I finally purchased a Tangle Teezer for only £5 - AND it's leopard print! On top of that I've been spending 6 hours-a-day in the library doing dissertation research - I'm really pleased to be having an evening on the sofa watching Made In Chelsea with the girls! x

Help a Blogger Out!

If you have ever attended London Fashion Week, you'll know that having your picture taken comes with the territory. There's just no getting away from it and most of the time you'll never know where your picture ends up. Adrian Morales is a fashion photographer on a global hunt for the best street style in the four corners of the fashion world: New York, London, Milan, and Paris. He attended all four fashion weeks (lucky thing!) and the top 125 are entered into a street style showdown. After he took my photo, I absent mindedly filled in my details and didn't really think much of it again. HOWEVER, an email landed in my inbox this morning informing me I made the top 125! WOOHOO!

There's some huge competition and some people have already got loads of votes, but if you don't try you'll never win, eh? So it would mean so so so so much to me if you could just take TWO SECONDS to visit this page and click 'like' or 'tweet' (or both!) on the right hand side. I'm currently in 9th place, but it's going to take a lot more than that to get into the top 6! It just takes two seconds and is completely free (although there is an option to donate $5 to charity!) and I would absolutely love you forever. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE X

Biker Boots

one.two.three

I've long been a fan of biker boots, and now that my military boots have been well and truly ruined (my dad decided they needed a bit of polish and completely undid the hard worked for 'worn-in' look I had) I've been looking around at what the highstreet currently has on offer. Besides, I think a military jacket, camo top and military boots would be a tad over the top anyway! I love how these girls from Lookbook toughen up girly outfits with biker boots and leather jackets - I especially love the studs! Daisy Street is full of studded footwear at the moment, and these boots are no exception; the stud and buckle detailing make these my absolute favourite of the three and they certainly rival the now sold out Matalan version (which I had my heart set on before *sob*). However, with winter fast approaching, the Marlo boots from Topshop are appealing with their faux-fur lining. Finally, I really like the wooden heel on the Dorothy Perkins pair, plus they have a bit of stud detailing too.

In reality I can't afford any of these (despite them being about £40 cheaper than everywhere else!) because I bought the coat I posted about last week with the Topshop 20% student discount. Maybe next month...at least I'll be warm though!
Which boots are you favourite? x
PS. Somewhere between my last post and now I reached 100 followers! Yay! I want to do a giveaway at some point to say thank you...funds permitting! It might be a little late though...
